New ID Cards!

How long have you worked at Bucknell? Does the online directory still display the same photo that was taken when you were hired?  It’s time for a change!

As part of the April 1 transition to Workday, we are offering all employees the opportunity to have a new photo taken for the directory and your new Bucknell ID card — at no cost to you. Communications, Card Services and Student Transit have teamed to offer photo sessions beginning Feb. 26. No appointment is necessary! Simply drop by the Card Services office in 130 Vedder Hall between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the week assigned to the first letter of your last name.

  • Week 1: Feb. 26–March 2: A through J
  • Week 2: March 5–9: K through T
  • Week 3: March 12–16: U through Z, and anyone who still needs a new photo.

When you open Workday on April 1, your new photo will appear on your personal profile. March 16  is the final day to have your photo taken for the update of your Workday profile and new card.

You also have the opportunity to change your preferred name within Workday. Your preferred name will appear on the front of your new card, and your legal name will move to the back of the card. Beginning April 1, you can change your preferred name by visiting your personal profile in Workday. If you need any assistance in doing so, please visit the Workday training site. April 30 is the final day to submit a preferred first name for your new card.

Stop by the Card Services office in Vedder Hall between June 18 and July 27 to trade your current card for your new ID [see below], which will feature your new photo and preferred name on a redesigned ID card. (If you choose to not have your photo retaken, your current photo will appear on the new card.)

Please direct any questions to Card Services. We look forward to seeing you soon in Workday!

Best regards,

The Workday Team
