“2018 is right around the corner, and with the new year comes new advances.

Our colleagues in Human Resources, Finance, Library and IT have taken on the massive task of transitioning Bucknell’s financial and human resources system to a new system called Workday. Bucknell Workday will significantly streamline many of the tasks the University deals with daily.  Workday will be the new home to reporting time and time off. There will be numerous, conveniently located areas around campus that will have designated time clocks for you to use.  The list of locations are still being finalized but installation is scheduled to be done by 3/1/18. As far as reporting time, there are some points of clarification we would like to make due to questions we have recently received:

  • You will not have to clock in and out every time you leave a building.
  • While you are required to clock in and out, you are not required to use one of the designated time clocks. You may choose to use a computer or a mobile device such as a smart phone.

We understand that there will be a lot of questions. We want to answer them. Please look out for upcoming communications regarding the Workday effort, the expected benefits, and what it means for you.  As part of the Workday communications effort, there will be various opportunities for you to engage with Workday and receive the necessary training. Additionally, numerous resources will be published on the Workday website to keep you informed about what’s going on with the project, along with other information (e.g. training opportunities).  Check out the constantly updated Workday site at bucknell.edu/workday. There you will find FAQs, training information and terminology. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, you can also submit your Workday question. The goal is to keep everyone informed and engaged as we take this transformative journey together.”
