Workday v31 (WD31)!

Workday will be updating their service to Workday v31 (WD31) on Saturday, September 8.  A collaborative team from Human Resources, Finance, and Library & IT continue to review and test the functional changes contained in this update for their impact on Bucknell.  To date, we have identified the items below that will be of general functional interest to the campus community:

-The color of worklets in Workday was changed from orange to blue to improve contrast and accessibility (implemented on 8/28).

-The help link in the menu bar will now route to the Workday help blog (http://workdayhelp.blogs.bucknell.edu/). This help site will also have a new, improved design.

-The W:drive in the menu bar will be renamed to My Reports.

-The background graphic on the home screen will be updated.

Be sure to check back often as we will update this list if / when we identify additional changes that matter to you.

The Workday service will be unavailable from 2am to 10am on Saturday, September 8 as the vendor applies these updates.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you are an hourly employee working on September 8, time clocks will continue to function and you’ll be able to clock in and out like normal. A map of time clock locations can be found here: http://ow.ly/Otbw30k33tt. Entering time on the mobile app or via desktop will not be available during the outage. If necessary, employees can manually track hours and then work with their supervisor to enter them into Workday after the maintenance window closes.

Watch for updates to the L&IT outage posted on myBucknell in the event that Workday does not complete their work by 10am as scheduled.

If you encounter issues with Workday after after the update is complete, please contact the Tech Desk for assistance:
