Do I have to re-hire a student that just graduated?

Yes, once a student graduates then they are no longer considered a student employee in Workday. When a student is no longer eligible to work as a student employee, the position must be approved to be able to be continued as a casual being paid from the staff department budget.  Please work with your department’s assigned HR Recruitment Consultant to initiate the requisition process, part of which we include determining whether you have appropriate funding as well as determining the amount of time the position can continue.
