Dave Surgala’s Reminders of Key Dates

The Workday team is planning diligently to ensure all systems are go for our April 1 target launch and to minimize any disruptions in service during the transition period. In the weeks ahead, the transition from Banner Finance and Human Resource applications to Workday will temporarily suspend some normal processes such as purchase orders, expense reimbursements and hiring, to name a few.

It is critical that staff and faculty note the following dates and plan accordingly. Your best source of information is the Workday@Bucknell website and ongoing training. For additional assistance, please contact Ed Loftus, Workday program director, at x71458. We greatly appreciate your support during this transition.

Monday, March 19 (Hiring)

Last new employee start date and orientation date. The next available new employee start date and orientation will be Monday, April 9, using Workday.

Friday, March 23 (Financial Transactions)

Friday, March 23, will be the last day to submit and complete a number of different financial transaction types including:

-Accounts payable

-Concur expenses

-P-card/PaymentNet

-B-buy

-Office Depot

-Budget adjustments and transfers

Afterward, these transactions will need to be held until Bucknell is live in Workday.

The pay period ending March 31 will be the last period submitted and approved in Banner for student employees.
